Make a Joyful Noise!

Our youth choir is open to boys and girls in grades 6-9.  Rehearsals are held sporadically on Sunday mornings at 11:30 in Room 203 of the Education Building.

The more the merrier. Come when you can as often as you can. And, bring a friend!  Below is the rehearsal and performance schedule for the remainder of the program year:

The Youth Choir will meet again on May 16, 23 and June 6.  (No rehearsal on May 30th, Memorial Day Weekend) and they will sing in worship on June 13.

ALLELUIA CHOIR 

Do your children enjoy singing?  If so, then have them join our Alleluia Choir for children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. The choir meets most Sunday mornings in the chapel from 9-9:20 under the direction of Amy Shropshire (Miss Amy).

January:  24, 31

February:  7, 21, 28 (Spirit 9:45 for 10:30 Call to Worship)

March: 7, 14, 28

April: 4 (tent), 11*, 18*, 25*

May: 2*, 9 (Both choirs at 8:30 am for Call to Worship at both services), 16*

*Extended rehearsals from 10-11:30; please attend 9 am worship/Sunday school on these days.

Spirit Choir is for boys and girls in grades 3-6. The choir, under the direction of Amy Shropshire, meets most Sundays (September-May) in the chapel from 10:00 - 10:45 AM.  A variety of musical styles are used to help the young singers develop good vocal technique. Thursday, May 13: Tech rehearsal for all soloists and speaking parts -- 4-5:30 pm

Friday, May 14: Possible rehearsal from 4:30-5:30 pm

Saturday, May 15: Dress rehearsal 9:30-11:30 am

We are proud to offer drumming opportunities for two age groups of kids -- our middle school kids rehearse on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 and our high school band rehearses at 6:30. New members are always welcome. The drummers rehearse with band director Lana Wordel.
