First-Time Visitor

Here at First Congregational Church, we seek to be a welcoming Christian Community that connects the stories and truths of Scripture with our daily lives. We desire to grow together in our knowledge and love of God; to provide nurture, hope and encouragement to each other; and to respond to God's great love for us in Christ by reaching out beyond our own walls with Christ's grace, compassion and peace.

In this congregation, you will find members and visitors who come not only from Western Springs, but from many of the surrounding communities. Though our Congregational roots are still strong, people of many different Christian traditions and denominations have found a home here. Together we seek to serve God....with Christ as our guide.

MORNING WORSHIP & SUNDAY SCHOOL
9:00 & 10:30 a.m. (Sept-May)
9:30 only Memorial Day (May 24) through Seotember 13.
Fellowship with coffee, juice and doughnuts, follows each worship service in the Light Court of the Education building (and outside in the summer months).

Spirit Worship
These contemporary worship services take place in Plymouth Hall at 5:00 pm on the first Sunday of the month from October through May. The dress is more casual than morning worship and the music, which features a full band and vocal ensemble, is more contemporary. It's a wonderful alternative to the Sunday morning rush, especially for parents with young children.
